Linksys PC Card Works with AirPort Extreme

When you run the Airport Extreme installer, Is anything else installed other than the AppleAirport2.kext in /System/Library/Extensions?

Lots more is installed. For a complete list, you can go to /Library/Receipts/AirPortSW.pkg/Contents and lsbom Archive.bom.

10.2.4 attempted to break compatibility with this hack, but it didn't take long to re-hack. But the instructions have changed and the hack is a bit more involved now. Check out the details at http://www.kfu.com/~nsayer/mac/

I purchased my powerbook 1 year ago and would like to add wireless capability but I dont really understand how to do it. I am sorry to bug but I would like it if you could tell me exactly how to do it. I know little of of the power of macs and how to bring out their power so I would really apreciate the help if you can help me. I have a G4 Powerbook 550Mhz OS 10.2.4

I forgot to mention that I would like to add the LinkSys card to get the "g" speed but dont understand all on the website I would appreciate help on this.

I just installed a Linksys PCI wireless card in a B & W 350 Mhz G3 . I have OSx and the newest airport software version 3.1.1 The card was instantly recognized and now I have extreme airport connectivity in an ols "obsolete" Mac. I used Linksys model WMP54G available at CompUSA
